Train Criminal Justice Personnel to Deliver the Highest Quality Service to the Citizens of Washington State. It is the mission of this Association to advance training in police firearms and officer safety, and to provide a means through which law enforcement firearms instructors may exchange ideas and experiences; To promote and secure cooperation and coordination in law enforcement firearms training between all agencies and the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission, and other organizations engaged in such training; To encourage all police agencies to provide advanced training in the use of firearms to all personnel who are required to carry firearms in the course of their duties; To promote the adherence of all police officers to a high degree of proficiency and safety with firearms; To provide an avenue of communication to all agencies interested in the development and administration of police firearms training in this state; To promote and encourage the use of state-wide standards in firearms training programs;
